We deeply value the trust our supporters place in our work and are committed to making the most efficient use of our resources. With this in mind, we work hard to ensure that funds are directed to programmes where they will have the biggest impact on children with cleft conditions.
How we spend our funds
We’re very conscious of the need to spend funds entrusted to us by our supporters wisely. In the UK, in the last financial year, for every £1 raised, £0.84 was spent on our charitable aims. When you donate Operation Smile you can be confident that your money is reaching those who need it most. Your donation helps to fund surgical programmes, train healthcare professionals, and increase awareness of the plight of children with cleft conditions all over the world.

Our promise to you
Your trust means everything to us. So, whenever you donate to Operation Smile we promise:
- Money raised will go towards our goal of improving health and dignity through safe surgery and comprehensive cleft care.
- Your privacy is of the upmost importance to us – we review our Privacy Policy regularly to make sure we manage your data correctly.
- We will never sell or share your details with other organisations.
- We may hold data obtained from generally available public sources, to which you have a right of access as well as data provided by you. Your rights are outlined in our Privacy Policy.
