Collecting Change, Changing Lives

Operation Smile believes that the smallest acts of kindness add up to the greatest acts of love. When it comes to helping change the lives of children with cleft conditions, no one is too young, no donation too small.

By simply collecting loose change, either from down the back of the sofa or through washing cars, helping around the house, or putting on a bake sale, students young and old can make a huge difference to the lives of others.

Year 13 pupil Zoe Thornton-Reid, who had recently attended the Operation Smile International Student Leadership Conference in Rome says: “The conference I went to over the summer was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I got to meet people from all over the world who wanted to make a change and make the world a better place. It really motivated me to do all I can to help and I am so pleased with the support I have been given from everyone at school, raising money that is going to make such a difference to the lives of children.”

Join the change revolution and encourage your students to collect loose change and aim to raise a smile, just £150, the cost of one of our life-changing surgeries.

“Every child that has a facial deformity is our responsibility. If we don’t take care of that child, there’s no guarantee that anyone else will.”
