STEP Private Clients Awards

We are thrilled to have been chosen by STEP, the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning, as their Private Client Awards Charity Partner 2017-2019.  Over the three-year partnership, STEP member’s generous donations could fund three international medical projects; providing all the logistics, medical equipment and supplies necessary for our medical volunteer teams to carry out around up to 150 cleft repair surgeries each mission in resource-poor countries.

With STEP’s support, together we will have not only a direct and immediate impact on our work with children and young adults living with cleft conditions, but additionally – through our training and education and network of volunteers – the exchange of knowledge and expertise between our medical specialists from diverse backgrounds.

Through bringing healthcare professionals together from all over the world, we facilitate the sharing of best practices and techniques delivering clinical skills, insight and training to local medical volunteers.  Together we have the same goal; improve access to safe, timely and effective surgical care and a lifetime impact on the health systems of communities so that they are able to take care of their own needs.

We look forward to sharing our immense gratitude and the impact of STEP members’ support at the STEP Private Client Awards later this year.

STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and Operation Smile UK celebrated the launch of their three year partnership at the STEP Private Client Awards September 2017.  Through the overwhelming generosity of the guests and STEP members, donations raised £64,788.29 and an additional £5,275 through a charity casino for Operation Smile.  Over the 3-year partnership, these generous funds will provide life changing surgery for hundreds of children born with cleft conditions in the developing world.  With STEP’s support, Operation Smile will transform not only the smiles of these children, but also enable them to live a life free from stigma; the life they deserve.

“Every child that has a facial deformity is our responsibility. If we don’t take care of that child, there’s no guarantee that anyone else will.”
